We revamped a dated urban loft, blending industrial and contemporary design for a unique, stylish space.
A Modern Loft Reimagined
Client: Smith & Johnson Real Estate Developers
Hours Spent: 3000
Smith & Johnson Real Estate Developers tasked us with revitalizing an outdated urban loft into a contemporary, stylish living space. The goal was to create a design that blended industrial elements with modern aesthetics, resulting in a unique and inviting atmosphere.
Our design team approached this project by first embracing the loft's inherent industrial characteristics. Exposed brick walls, original steel beams, and large windows were preserved and highlighted to maintain the space's historical essence. These raw elements were complemented by sleek, modern finishes and furnishings, creating a harmonious balance between old and new.
Key Features:
Open-Concept Layout: To maximize the sense of space and light, we reconfigured the floor plan into an open-concept layout. This design allows for a seamless flow between the living, dining, and kitchen areas, making the space feel larger and more cohesive.
Modern Kitchen Design: The kitchen was upgraded with high-end appliances, custom cabinetry, and a large island with a waterfall countertop. Stainless steel finishes and minimalist design elements provide a sleek, modern touch.
Industrial Aesthetic: We retained and emphasized the loft's industrial features, including exposed ductwork, concrete flooring, and metal fixtures. These elements are softened with contemporary lighting and warm, textured furnishings to create a cozy yet modern ambiance.
Custom Built-ins: Custom shelving and storage solutions were integrated throughout the loft, ensuring functionality without compromising on style. These built-ins not only provide ample storage but also serve as display spaces for art and personal items.
Lighting and Ambiance: A mix of ambient, task, and accent lighting was strategically placed to enhance the loft's atmosphere. Modern pendant lights, track lighting, and LED accents highlight architectural features and provide versatile lighting options.
Bedroom and Bath: The master bedroom features a minimalist design with clean lines and soft textiles, creating a serene retreat. The bathroom combines industrial elements with modern fixtures, including a frameless glass shower and a floating vanity.
